Hold on to your hats, blog readers!!! It was November the last time I posted, so I have a lot of catching up to do. It has been a busy month, full of fun and family. I tried to catch most of it in the next several posts and have named the all the same in case you need to go to older posts.

After months of training, my dear friend Kellie, Nathan and I ran the White Rock Half Marathon. It was a cold nasty day, but the run was great! I came in at a respectable time of 2:10 or so which put me at a 9:59 min/mi. While that may be a snails pace for some, it was by far a personal best for me so I was really happy! Kellie and Nathan rocked coming in under 2 hours and about a 8:30 min/mi. Way to go!! I have to say a HUGE thank you to Marc though. I really could not have done it without his love and support. He stayed at home countless Saturdays so I could run my "long runs" and watched from the sidelines in the cold and rain cheering me on the whole way. What a guy! :)

Ashley turned 16 mo. old this month! Where does the time go? She is such a beautiful, funny, smart girl- much more of a kid than a baby anymore- and I love her to pieces. This month, she has started saying more things and has started getting longer hair in the back. She now has all 16 teeth (missing her 4 two year molars only) and is beginning to run, trying to jump and climb and loves to dance. She is absolutely obbsessed with accessories like hats, bags, phones, sunglasses, and carrying babies and stuffed animals around. She loves reading books and will very often go to her room and plop down in her chair to read a few. She still sleeps and eats like a champ, although has begun disliking vegetables recently (we are trying to "push through" that stage). She will give kisses and hugs, however her babies are more likely to receive those on comand. She is a joy to me and Marc (the jury is still out for Pete!) :)

Have you ever tried to wrap hundreds of presents with a 16 mo. old wandering around??? It works really well... as long as you don't mind the wrapping paper stepped on, presents strewn around the room and ribbon unrolled all over the place. So, Marc took advantage of the beautiful weather and took Ashley to the park. Looks like they had a ball!!

Christmas Eve was great this year. We spent the day relaxing at home. We baked cookies, played a bunch and got ready for the next day. We went to the Christmas Eve service at Stonebriar and it was so nice. I definitely think that might be a new tradition for us. Then we came home, had dinner and opened the first present of Christmas- our gifts from Mrs. Claus. For those that don't get things from Mrs. Claus, she usually brings new Christmas PJ's, so that you feel festive (and well dressed) when you wake up Christmas morning. Ashley was very excited about Santa on the outside of her gift box, her new slippers and the snowmen on her new PJ's. (Posing for a picture... not so thrilling)

This Christmas, Santa brought Marc and I a much needed getaway. It was only for a night and it was in town, but it was WONDERFUL! We went to the Gaylord Texan, which for those that have been, is just as good as going away to a vacationland. It was decorated for Christmas and just beautiful. We enjoyed a very relaxing massage, great meals, wandering around looking at the lights and sights, and going to ICE. We had such a good time and came back very relaxed. It was just what we needed.
